Stark says he is basically self taught. He studied for two years at the Texas Academy
of Art and had one drawing class at the University of Houston.
His first art award came in the third grade for his drawing of an Easter Lilly. Even
then he saw things “differently.” His teacher complimented him on his imagination
for drawing several different colored blooms all on the same stem!
His total focus on his painting in the past three years has paid huge dividends. His
work hangs in galleries in Chicago and the Houston area, and Fran Knueppel predicts
he will carve a niche in the art world as more people learn of his distinctive talent.
